Preparation of the surface In order for 3M Primer to bond properly the application surface must be very clean and dry. Any contaminated surface needs to be cleaned with 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol and water mix. Be sure to use a lint free cloth to wipe the surface down completely.

Application- Be sure to shake the 3M primer before each use. Begin by applying a thin uniform layer to the surface that you wish to bond, making sure that this layer is minimal but still completely covers the application site. Next allow 3M to dry ( this typically takes 5-7 min.) Be sure the primed surface remains free from contaminants prior to applying the tape. Porous surfaces may require 2 applications of 3M primer 94 for uniform coverage and good adhesion. Allow first application of primer to dry before applying the second coat. 3M primer 94 may be applied with brush or swab. It can also be applied with a pressurized flow gun, knurled roller or other similar type of application equipment.
