After taking advantage of the excess military supplies during World War II, Ferruccio Lamborghini recognized an opportunity for constructing tractors. His efforts lead to great success for the young businessman. The Italian company, Automobili Lamborghini Spa was established in 1963. Within the same year, automotive company introduced the 350GT named after the size engine it contained, a 3.5 liter four-cam V12. As the manufacturer of several renowned luxury sports cars the company capitalized its fame with the production of the Miura. Lamborghini was later obtained by Volkswagen in 1998. The company now includes several different styles of sports cars in over 120 worldwide dealerships.
