In 1917 Lincoln was founded by automotive manufacturer and founder of Cadillac, Henry Leland. Leland named the brand after the sixteenth United States president, Abraham Lincoln. Ford Motor Company acquired Lincoln in 1922. Famous for manufacturing the iconic Town Car, Lincoln has grown its inventory with a newer generation of vehicles, the Mk series and Navigator.
