Saturn was launched by General Motors in 1990 in response to the influx of Japanese imports in the 1980s. The brand enjoyed a great deal of success initially as it differentiated itself from the competition by friendly customer service and no haggle pricing. GM continued its commitment to the brand by introducing several new models in the early 2000s such as the Vue SUV and sporty Sky roadster. While the company is no longer in business, Saturn automobiles are still found in great numbers on American roadways due to their reliability and value.
