A rarity in today's automotive landscape, Spyker is an independent company known for building high end, exotic sports cars completely by hand. The Spyker brand is named after two brothers, Jacobus and Hendrik Spyker who built cars in Amsterdam in the early 1900s. The company folded in 1925 but was resurrected in 1999 when Dutch businessmen bought the naming rights and started a new company. Today, Spyker is known the world over for its ultra rare C8 model that caters to an international set of wealthy automobile enthusiasts.
