What is the different between Lamin-x and the cheaper knock-off products I find?
This is the perfect "you get what you pay for" situation. The cheap knock-off films are usually a thin, 3 mil sticker type of film
and have a dull (orange-peel) finish, thin adhesive, no protection, and can be a complete pain to install on any lights that
have a compound curve. Lamin-x is the complete opposite of the cheap stuff: Glossy finish, forgiving adhesive,
impact protection, 5 year warranty, and it's designed to mold around complex curves. Plus we manufacture our film and create
our own patterns. Most people find that sticker overlay a waste of time and money. Don't be one of them!

Can the film be removed without damage?
Lamin-x film can easily be removed without damage to your light surface or original paint. Upon initial application, the film
can be peeled up and reapplied numerous times, if not installed correctly. The film and its adhesive are designed for this!
Once the film has settled (appx 48-72 hours), the product is no longer considered reusable. Upon removal, warm the film
and lift off slowly. If there is any additional adhesive left on the lens, simply roll it into a ball using your finger or thumb. Use
bug and tar remover, or similar product, to remove any left-over residue.

I cannot find a precut kit for my vehicle. What should I do?
You may find that we do not have a precut kit available for a certain lights, or in some cases, entire vehicles. The best solution
for this is the custom fitment of our Universal Sheets - the option installation pros prefer. Applying an uncut sheet is just as
easy and more forgiving, as the bulk sheets do not need to be perfectly aligned to fit properly. Just cover the desired area
and custom trim to fit your liking.

How do I know which bulk size film to purchase?
Measure the surface area where the film is going to be applied. Take into consideration any bends, bulges, or compound
curves on the light's surface, as these features will increase the amount of material needed when wrapping. Once you
have determined the dimensions, choose the most appropriate size for your need. Please contact us if you require a more
custom size than what is listed. Note: A Tailor's Tape works well when measuring for bulk film.

Are your colored films legal on headlights for street use?
Our colored films may not be legal for street use on primary lighting. An off-road disclosure is recommended. Please
check your state or local laws before application. Installation of colored Lamin-x Film on your primary lights is done so
at your own risk.

Recent Install - There are still some tiny bubbles and/or haziness underneath, as well as creases/ripples on top of the
film. What should I do?

Once the film settles, any small bubbles or application creases will disappear. Lamin-x is a breathable PVC vinyl film.
Tiny air pockets will evaporate. The creases/ripples caused by application cards or your finger will smooth out once
settled and warmed.

Can I comfortably install a paint protection kit myself?
Due to the size, complexity, and general PITA factor, the complete paint protection kits are best installed by professionals;
however, it can be (and has been!) done by customers that are mechanically inclined, patient, and have an extra pair of
hands to help out. Our paint protection kits include application tools and installation instructions, which describes the best
installation method for each area/piece. We are also available to verbally assist the customer if any questions or
complications arise. If you'd rather, we can attempt to locate a paint protection installer within your general area.

What is your return policy?
