Recent Install. There are still some tiny bubbles and milkiness underneath, as well as creases/ripples on top of the film. What should I do?
Once the film settles, any small bubbles/milkiness or application creases will disappear. Lamin-x is a breathable PVC vinyl film. Tiny air pockets will evaporate. The creases/ripples caused by application cards or your finger will smooth out once settled and warmed.
Can I comfortably install the paint protection myself?
Due to the size, complexity, and general PITA factor, the complete paint protection kits are best installed by professionals. But it can be done by those customers who are very mechanically inclined, patient, and havve an extra pair of hands to help out. Our paint protection kits include installation instructions and application tools, which describes the best installation method for each area/piece. We are also available to verbally assist the customer if any questions or complications arise. Why should I pick your film over the cheaper overlay I find online?
Those films are a complete pain to install on any lights that have a compound curve. That sticker film is not designed for that. It also has an orange peel texture to it, which gives it a matte finish. Plus, it will tear easily if your try to reinstall it to fix any installation errors as they are only 3mils thick. Which does nothing to protect your lights. Yeah, they are cheaper, but the phrase "you get what you pay for" totally applies here. Lamin-x films are the complete opposite: softened and pliable to bend around most compound curves that moder lights have. You can reinstall in numerous times until it looks right. Glossy smooth surface. Plus, our films being 17-40mils thick actually protect your lights form damage and abuse.
Where is my order
Precut kits are not sitting on shelves waiting to be thrown into a box. Your order is custom made for you when you order it! Because of this process, all precut kits require a minimum of 24-72 hours to manufacture and ship out. Please allow at least 2-10 days for delivery of product AFTER the product has been shipped. Product may be delivered on a Saturday, so take that into consideration and make arrangements to sign for it when it shows up.Also, we ship most products via USPS with a tracking number. They are great for delivering product, but not so great for updating their tracking information. Their tracking status does not necessarily reflect on the true status of the order.
5-year guarantee
Lamin-x Protective Films guarantees its products for five years from the date of purchase. The products are guarnateed against defective materials and workmanship. This guarantee is null and void if the products have been improperly handled or applied. Neither the seller nor the manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct or consequential, arising out of the use or inability to use the products. If the products are not proven to conform to specifications, the seller's and manufacturer's obligations shall be to replace it at no cost to the purchaser. All expressed or implied rights, warranties, guarantees, or conditions, stutory or otherwise, are excluded. The foregoing may not be altered, except by agreement signed by the buyer and seller, and is void where prohibited by law.
