What is the different between Lamin-x and the cheaper eBay or products I find?
This is the perfect "You get what you pay for" situation. Those cheap films are a thin 3 mil sticker type of film. That has a dull "orange-peel" finish, thin adhesive, no protection, and complete pain to install on any lights that have a compound curve. Lamin-x is the complete opposite of that cheap stuff. Glossy finish, forgiving adhesive, protection, and designed to mold around complex curves. Plus we manufacture our film and create our own patterns. Most people find that sticker overlay a waste of time and money. Don't be one of them!

Can the film be removed without damage?
Lamin-x protective film can be easily removed without damage to the light or original paint. Upon initial application, the film can be pulled back up and reapplied numerous times if not installed correctly. The film and adhesive are forgiving enough for this. Once the film has settled (appx 48-72 hours), the product is not considered reusable. Upon removal, warm the film and lift off slowly. If there is any additional adhesive left on the lens, simply rub the adhesive with Bug and Tar remover or similar product.

I cannot find a precut kit for my vehicle. What should I do?
Sometimes, we do not have precut kits available for many older model vehicles or custom-shaped applications. The best solution for this is a custom fitment of Universal Covers, which is what the pros prefer. Applying an uncut sheet is just as easy and more forgiving, as the bulk sheets do not need to be perfectly aligned to fit properly. Just cover the desired area and custom trim to fit your specifications and liking.

How do I know which bulk size film to purchase?
Measure the surface area where the film is going to be applied. Take into consideration any bends or compound curves that may need the material to bend when wrapping. Then, choose the most applicable size for your need. Please contact us if you require a more custom size than what is listed. Note: A Tailor's Tape works well when measuring for bulk film. Then, locate the most appropriate bulk sheet size in the "Custom" section of our online store.

Are your colored films legal on headlights for street use?
Our colored films may not be legal for street use of primary lighting. An off-road disclosure is recommended. Please check your state or local laws before application. Installation of colored Lamin-x Film on your primary lights is done so at your own risk.

Recent Install.
There are still some tiny bubbles and milkiness underneath, as well as creases/ripples on top of the film. What should I do? Once the film settles, any small bubbles/milkiness or application creases will disappear. Lamin-x is a breathable PVC vinyl film. Tiny air pockets will evaporate. The creases/ripples caused by application cards or your finger will smooth out once settled and warmed.

Can I comfortably install the paint protection myself?
Due to the size, complexity, and general PITA factor, the complete paint protection kits are best installed by professionals. But it can be done by those customers who are very mechanically inclined, patient, and have an extra pair of hands to help out. Our paint protection kits include installation instructions and application tools, which describes the best installation method for each area/piece. We are also available to verbally assist the customer if any questions or complications arise. If you'd rather, we can attempt to locate Venture Shield paint protection installer within your general area.

What is your return policy?
